Dr. Kearie Newman earned her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2020 with honors. She has over 10 years of clinical experience across a variety of milieus including outpatient settings, private practice, and psychiatric facilities. Dr. Kearie has run social skills groups, facilitated Sib Shops, and provided play therapy for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health Disorders over the course of her career. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals and groups across the life span in a variety of areas including sex offender treatment, individuals with special needs, depression, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders, behavior and discipline challenges, self-harm behavior, anger and stress management, trauma and abuse, family and relationship issues, suicide assessment and risk reduction, group psychotherapy, self-image and self-esteem issues. Dr. Kearie's approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. She is particularly concerned with the impact of loss and trauma and improving interventions to support trauma recovery. Dr. Kearie is currently providing diagnostic assessments via NoCo Speech Therapy for children with developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, mental & behavioral disorders, ADHD, Autism & Trauma.
