Ms. Monica is a Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (C-SLPA); born and raised in Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico. She has been in the field for 12+ years. She started her career as an ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) in-home therapist in 2007 while she was pursuing her bachelor degree at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She graduated with a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on Speech and Language Therapy in December 2009. Then, in January 2010 she became an SLPA in Texas. She worked at the clinic and school settings for a couple of years. Went back to school in 2011 and graduated in 2013 with a Masters in Linguistics.

Ms. Monica moved to the San Luis Valley, Colorado in 2013 and became a SLPA in the state. She worked in the school settings for about 3 years. Then, she moved to the Front Range in 2017 and became a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Worked at Front Range Behavior as a SLPA/RBT for 3 years. Finally, she joined NoCo Speech Therapy and Diagnostics in March 2020 and continues providing services till today.

Today, Ms. Monica is happily married; she has 2 step daughters, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She is extroverted, spontaneous, creative, playful and high-spirited. She loves kids and enjoys working with her patients so much. Ms. Monica is always excited for new adventures, she sees everyday as a new opportunity to be herself and make a change, make an impact on others' lives.
